This section describes how to change the image that appears on the display during a boot-up.

There are two ways to change the splash screen. The image can be
included in the application folder/zip file in USB memory. When the folder/zip file is copied to the display, the splash screen is set at the same time. In this case, the top of the display will show text Updating image.
copied directly to the user application folder (/opt/user/userapp), for example, with CODESYS IDE or FTP client. The image is set as splash screen before starting up the application and then the image is erased from the user application folder.
To change the splash screen image with USB memory:
Copy the image to a folder/application zip file in USB memory
6107 display unit: Boot-up the display unit and press the lower right corner of the display during boot-up until the embedded ApplicationLoader software starts.
6112 and 6807 display unit: Boot-up the display unit and rub the lower right corner of the display during boot-up until the embedded ApplicationLoader software starts.
Navigate to Update Software view:
Remove all other USB devices, then attach the USB memory. Files found from the USB memory are listed on the left side of the view.
Select the folder/zip file containing the background image file (file name bgim*.bmp) from the list by tapping on it, or use the arrow icons to scroll the list.
Tap to copy the file to display
The new splash screen is displayed during the next boot-up
To run the current application and exit ApplicationLoader, press
To return to ApplicationLoader main view, tap in the lower left corner.
