Configuring the Splash Screen Image (6107, 6112, 6807)

This section describes how to change the image that appears on the display during a boot-up.

 

  • For 6107 and 6807 display unit, the image dimension must be 800x480 pixels

  • For 6112 display unit, the image dimension must be 1024x768 pixels

  • If the image is too large, the image is not drawn and the screen is black until the application starts

  • File format 24 bit/pixel BMP

  • The image file name must start with a prefix bgim (e.g. bgimPicture.bmp, bgim_picture.bmp).

 

 

There are two ways to change the splash screen. The image can be

 

To change the splash screen image with USB memory:

  1. Copy the image to a folder/application zip file in USB memory

  2. 6107 display unit: Boot-up the display unit and press the lower right corner of the display during boot-up until the embedded ApplicationLoader software starts.
    6112 and 6807 display unit: Boot-up the display unit and rub the lower right corner of the display during boot-up until the embedded ApplicationLoader software starts.

  3. Navigate to Update Software view:

  4. Remove all other USB devices, then attach the USB memory. Files found from the USB memory are listed on the left side of the view.

  5. Select the folder/zip file containing the background image file (file name bgim*.bmp) from the list by tapping on it, or use the arrow icons to scroll the list.

  6. Tap to copy the file to display

  7. The new splash screen is displayed during the next boot-up

 

To run the current application and exit ApplicationLoader, press

To return to ApplicationLoader main view, tap in the lower left corner.
