This section describes how to use the BSL pin to reset the control unit to factory settings.
1. Disconnect the power from the control unit. (Power supply OFF)
2. Connect voltage (-6V to -9V) to the BSL pin (see the correct pin from the technical manual).
|
It is recommended to do this with a 9V battery.
The battery's positive side must be connected to ground.
|
3. Connect the power to the control unit. (Power supply ON)
![]() |
Supply voltage is required to be in between 18 V and 30 V during the factory reset operation.
|
4. The LED indicator flashes red and green alternately (5 Hz frequency) for about ten seconds after which it will flash at a faster frequency (20 Hz).
5. When the faster frequency (20 Hz) begins, the negative voltage must be removed from the BSL pin within 5 seconds. If this is successful, the LED changes color to white, and still flashes at the faster frequency (20 Hz),.
6. The white LED will blink until the factory reset has ended. This takes approximately eight seconds.
7. Factory reset is complete when a static red LED is on.
8. Reboot the control unit.
9. Factory reset is shown in the FW log.
